Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We arrived on time and went through security. We waited 5-10 minutes and we then taken back to the offices for our interview. First we reviewed all of the paperwork we had submitted 5 months before. It was intense watching my husband have to give an oath like he was in court but after all of the serious business (which I didn’t expect) we just got to talk about our relationship with the interviewer who was kind and actually seemed interested in us. He asked good questions, my favorite was, “out of all of his family members, who is your favorite and why?” And then asked the question in reverse to my husband. At the end he told us he would be able to recommend us.

The interviewing agent did a great job and was very easy to work with. He asked several basic questions about us and my wife's adjustment here to the U.S. He was very relaxed and casual and made sure not to cause any undue pressure. He then asked a long series of required questions to my wife and then asked for some additional documents. The only complaint is that CPB didn't send her sealed medical envelope to USCIS, so he wasn't able to approve her right away. Aside from that, everything went great and I thought they did a very good job of handling the interview.

No problems whatsoever. The Interviewer was very congenial. She walked though the forms and asked us questions. No surprises. She said she will approve it today and we will receive the greencard in about two weeks.

Checked in first when we arrived USCIS, and waited until interview officer grabbed us. The interview was very smooth:
At the beginning, IO asked me to provide the most recent I-94 and entrance's history, and then the basic questions on address, work experience etc. which has been filed in our I-485.
Later than, he asked my husband a few questions to verify if our relationship was real: Like when is my birthday, what did we do during my last birthday, why do I love my husband, and those 'yes no' questions from I-485 form.
In the end, he asked us to submit any new proof, so we submit our new car titiles, new house purchase record, house insurance and joint bank account, and 3 new pictures.

AOS interview today with my wife. Appointment was at 9:45am but we didn't go back until 10:50am out by 11:30am. Our IO was a super sweet guy, we both did our oaths then he went through our AOS document asking me about the yes/no questions again. Asked for our full address, DOB, and full name. After that he said do we want to add anything else to our case file. We handed over new pictures, W2s 2018 and tax return of 2018, new car information , insurance etc. He approved us on the spot and talked us through when we need to do the i-751 etc.

Awesome job!
